After a 11 year period of silence TYSC (Tilburgse YsSport Club) finally seen their dream come true.
An artificial outdoors ice hockey rink THERESIA was opened.
The opening game October 9th 1964 was played between the Dutch and Belgium national teams.
The score was 10-0 for Holland.
The attendance for that game was 4000.
This was to be the beginning of a new era for ice hockey in Tilburg and a dream come true for the TYSC.
After 5 years of playing ice hockey outdoors the building of an indoor ice hockey rink the PELLIKAAN HAL on the same location was completed.
The first Tilburg Trappers hockey game and opening ceremony in the new rink was held by Prince Claus and mayor Becht on November 28th 1969.
